Just finished a brand new poster for the band. I tried to base it off from the actual band name "Saturday Afternoon" and was going for that silhouette effect that you would get in the afternoon.

Melbourne & Work

Just realized that my last post for this blog was on July 15, 2009. Quite the lousy blogger aren't I.

Anyway for those of you who don't know I'm currently in Melbourne finishing up my degree over at Swinburne. I think I've settled in pretty well but I sure miss Malaysian food.

From now on I'm going to try to blog more of my work and maybe bits and pieces of my band here and there. It's about time I brand myself as a designer :)

Anyway, Mel and I did our first open mic on Weds at Gloria Jeans in Mont Kiara. It went alot better than I expected. The crowd was really supportive considering it was our first time performing live. Mel suprised me the most cause I was abit scared that she would be extra nervous and all but it turned out that I was the one who was super nervous and she was the one that did the most talking. We were asked to play 3 songs that night. I think we started off with Jason Mraz's live high (I think that's the title of the song), then we played two new songs which were The Magic Stone and WalkRunDrive. Things went so well that we were asked to do an encore! haha.

We should be performing again next week but I'll confirm that later.

I was listening to KSE's new album the other day and what a let down that was. I was expecting some epic choruses and memorable riffs but all I got was your generic metal formula. There was only one track that I liked and that was Light in the darkened world. Seriously, Adam D what were you thinking man.

and no I haven't seen Transformers.

Bleeding nose

It's 1:45 in the morning and I'm having a nose bleed.

Life is wonderful.

I've been watching a lot of Craig Ferguson lately. The man is just so bloody funny.



Now if you're in Tokyo, you'd be crazy to miss out on the newly built 59 foot tall Gundam that's standing in Odaiba.

I feel like a train just hit me

I just finished watching Eureka Seven. It was epic.. I was so moved by the whole damn anime that I almost shed a tear. Anyway apparently a new movie rendition of the anime is out but I can't seem to find anyone who has the file.

I was going through Vimeo the other day and I found this super sick music video using stop motion.

Speaking of videos.. Hazmer (my old flash lecturer) made a self-documentary video of Japan's Akihabara. The first 16 seconds are just meant to deceive you but it's a really good video la .. complete with anime like sponsors haha



Lately, I've been a real slob. I rarely go out nowadays. All I do is just stay home and watch anime or just surf the net. Maybe things will pickup when the rest of my friends come back.
